A
brief description in English.
(We
hope to make an English version of the whole site in a while).
Midtre
Olimb Farm is located in an ancient cultural landscape in the district
of Hadeland, north of Oslo. It is beautiful situated with a wide view to lakes,
forrests and mountains.
The Farm´s history can be traced back thousands of years, and here are
several large and small burial moulds from the Bronze Age (about 2500 years
ago).
Midtre Olimb Farm is based on an ecological farmhold,
with a variety of animals: Horses, cattle, sheep, donkeys, wild boar and other
species.
Visitors are welcome at all seasons of the year, and we can offer a lot of
different activities depending on the season and your wishes. What about a
ride with horse and sled (or carriage) out in the fields with a good meal
around a camp fire?
In the Storehouse from 1850 you can eat traditional Norwegian homemade food.
One of our specialities is barbeque (lamb or wild boar).
In addition we have a newly renovated cellar at the barn where we can serve
up to 90 persons in an unique and intimate atmosphere with possibilities for
live music and dancing.
We welcome you to be our
guest, and we are sure that you vill enjoy your visit to Midtre Olimb Farm!
